Range Rules

1. NO CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER SHOOTING WHILE ON THE ABILENE GUN CLUB PREMISSES.

2. Help keep the range clean, it benefits you as well as the next shooter.

3. Observe posted hours of operation.

4. Fire down range only. Do not fire across range.

5. No weapon of any type to be fired when a person is down range.

6. No fully automatic weapons or weapons that simulate full automatic.

7. Breech shall be opened on all weapons except when firing.

8. All shooters must sign in at the club house before shooting.

9. Membership cards shall be carried and available for presentation when using the club facility.

10. No cans or other trash are to be used for target shooting.

11.FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN EJECTION FROM THE CLUB AND POSSIBLE LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP.

NOTE The Abilene Gun Club reserves the right to deny access to any person or persons posing a threat to self or others. Any and all access disputes will be resolved by the ON DUTY range officer. The Abilene Gun Club Board of Directors completely support our ON DUTY range officers.

 

Under Age Shooters

All shooters under the age of 18 years must be supervised by an accompanied adult.

 

Shot Guns

Shotguns are not permtted on the range.

The Four acts of Firearm Safety.

ACTS

A-Assume every firearm is loaded.

C-Control the muzzle direction at all times.

T-Trigger finger off and out of trigger guard.

S-See that the firearm is unloaded. Prove it safe.
